Matilda Jr. The Musical
We’re delighted to announce that this year’s school production of Matilda Jr. will take place on Wednesday 7th, Thursday 8th and Friday 9th February 2024 at 7.00pm.
The cast and crew have been working incredibly hard to bring to life Roald Dahl’s Matilda, the story of a girl who dreams of a better life. The children she inspires will have you rooting for the ‘revolting children’ who are out to teach the grown-ups a lesson! Matilda has wit, intelligence… and special powers! Unloved by her cruel parents, Matilda impresses her schoolteacher, the loveable Miss Honey. Matilda’s school life isn’t completely smooth sailing, however – the school’s mean headmistress, Miss Trunchbull, hates children and just loves thinking up new punishments for those who don’t abide by her rules. But Matilda has courage and cleverness in equal amounts, and could be the school pupils’ saving grace! This is the story of a special little girl with an extraordinary imagination and, regardless of whether or not you’ve read the book or watched the movies, we’re sure you’ll love our ‘all singing, all dancing’ production.
Tickets are priced at £5 for adults, £4 for children/OAPs and £15 for a family (2 adults, 2 children). To purchase tickets, please complete and return the order form is available from form tutors and reception. Tickets must be paid for via ParentPay and collected from Mrs Carney in the General Office (G110).
Doors open 6.40pm and performances will start at 7.00pm, finishing at approximately 8.15pm.
