World Book Day

The school community celebrated all things literary on World Book Day with a variety of activities and competitions, including staff from the English department dressing up as a multitude of book characters. Staff were invited to submit a photo of their book shelves (with a hidden clue) for the Shelfie Quiz and the Bookflix initiative continued with staff sharing the current and favourite books, their passion for reading and recommending some good reads. 

Lunchtime saw activities for students in the English department and LRC, including mazes, ‘What’s in the Box’ and a chance to adopt some books needing new homes.

Winners from the LRC activities won a £5 book fair token, along with some other goodies:
