Careers Week 2023

6 March 2023 | Careers, School News

Monday 6th to Saturday 11th March is National Careers Week 2023, a celebration of careers guidance and education across the UK.  The aim is to provide a focus for careers guidance and education to help young people realise and fulfil their future goals.

During the week we are showing our commitment to inspiring our students and ensuring that they will leave Weatherhead with the drive and ambition to accomplish their chosen career pathway.  We have a host of visitors including alumni who will be delivering assemblies and going into lessons to discuss their career pathways, as you can see on the plan below.

Young people can start to explore careers, spark their curiosity and build hope for their future by talking about careers during National Careers Week and there are lots of resources to help. These can be found at nationalcareersweek.com and include some of the following:

– Information on careers from over 40 National organisations, including their supporters the NatWest Group and NHS Health Careers

– An online virtual careers fair: ncw2023.co.uk

– A short Believe film, created to support young people to imagine and believe in their potential

– Activities for pupils

A Parent Guide, with the information needed for parents and carers to help support young people in making the right choices to create successful futures, can be downloaded at: nationalcareersweek.com/parents-guide-2023.
