Headteacher Miss Whelan commented:
“These results are a true reflection of all the dedication and hard work that the students have put into their studies over the last 2 years. They have all worked incredibly hard from day one of their courses and coped so well with the continued disruption and fully deserve these achievements and I could not be prouder of them all. They should also be congratulated on the immense resilience and maturity they have shown over the last 18 months in these unprecedented circumstances and all students have been fully engaged in their remote education and zoom lessons throughout the pandemic and these achievements are a real testament to their total dedication and commitment to their studies in a completely new way of learning.
The tremendous support and hard work from the teaching staff, the diligence and care of our support staff and our excellent partnership with parents and carers over the last 2 years must also be recognised and I am so proud of how we have worked so hard together as a school community to ensure all our students achieved their very best during these difficult times.
Our students are very special and have shown true grit and determination throughout their Sixth Form studies and really deserve the success they have achieved and these results will open many doors for them, with so many going to university and also securing higher level apprenticeships. I wish every student all the very best for their future endeavours.”
Mrs Carol Rogers, Chair of Governors would like to congratulate all the Year 13 students and wish them all the best for the future and also thank staff for their tireless hard work and total professionalism in maintaining such high standards during these unprecedented times.
