Headteacher Miss Whelan commented:

“All the students have worked incredibly hard from day one of their courses and navigated so many challenges throughout the last 2 years. These students have studied and prepared for their exams through a National lockdown, periods of isolation and also staff and their own absences due to covid and throughout this time they have demonstrated immense resilience and maturity and these achievements are a real testament to their total dedication and commitment to their studies. This was also their first time sitting public exams as their GCSE exams were cancelled, making their achievements this year even more exceptional.

Every student should be extremely proud of their results and this would not have been possible without the incredible commitment and hard work from their teachers and the utmost diligence and care of our support staff and also our excellent partnership with our parents and carers. I am so proud of how we have worked together as a school community to ensure all our students achieved their very best during these difficult times and these results will open many doors for them, with so many going to university and also securing higher level apprenticeships or employment.  I wish every student all the very best for their future endeavours.”

Mrs Carol Rogers, Chair of Governors would also like to congratulate all the Year 13 students and wish them all the very best for the future and thank staff for their tireless hard work and total professionalism in maintaining such high standards during these unprecedented times.
