Careers Champion

3 March 2021 | Careers, School News

Congratulations to our Careers Manager Miss Smith, who has been recognised as a Careers Champion by the Careers and Enterprise Company!

The award is in recognition of Miss Smith’s work as an ‘innovator’ whose work has shown vision and new or improved ways to transform careers education for young people. The Careers and Enterprise Company said: “Thank you for your hard work in this area.”

Miss Smith was nominated by Charlotte Lawrence from Wirral Chamber for “helping to inspire young people”. Charlotte works closely with Weatherhead High School as our Enterprise Co-ordinator.

The Careers and Enterprise Company teamed up with the Gatsby Foundation to celebrate the many careers champions who work tirelessly for the benefit of young people and who often go unsung for their efforts. They were inundated with hundreds of stories of people, employers, schools and colleges whose careers focused work had made a positive difference to the lives of young people. Throughout National Careers Week 2021 they are recognising and celebrating these careers champions, like our very own Miss Smith.
