Anti-Bullying Week 2019: Change Starts With Us

15 November 2019 | School News

‘Change Starts With Us’ is the theme for this year’s Anti-Bullying Week campaign, which ran from Monday 11th – Friday 15th November in schools across the country.

Throughout the week Director of KS3 Miss Smith and our student ambassadors delivered assemblies. Our student Anti-Bullying Ambassadors, trained by the Diana Award, delivered presentations about what to do if you are being bullied and reinforced the message that change starts with us. A Year 9 student sang a beautiful rendition of Taylor Swift’s Mean and our Sixth Form Sports Captain talked about how change can happen if everyone shows respect for example when playing competitive sport.

During form time, students created pledges around the theme ‘Change Starts With Us’.

What does this week mean for Weatherhead?  If we all make small changes we can make a big difference.
