Design Ventura Awards 2017

A team of Year 9 students, with a passion for design and technology, are one of only ten school teams shortlisted nationally for the 2017 Design Ventura Awards.

Their competition entry is a polypropylene plant pot that expands as the plant grows, reducing the waste of replacing pots.

Their design was selected from over 14,500 entries and the shortlisted teams were all invited to the Design Museum in London to pitch their ideas to a panel of esteemed designers.

The winning team, which will be announced in the New Year, will go onto to develop their idea and see it on sale in the Design Museum shop.
