Gymnasts take gold to become North West Regional Champions

Competition date: Saturday 28th January 2017

On Saturday 28th January, a team of Weatherhead’s best gymnasts competed in the regional phases of the Milano championships at Walton Le Dale High School.

The students’ superb talent shone through, as they gained first place in their mixed trio and girls routines on floor and vault, drawing gasps of amazement from the crowds as they took their place as regional champions!

Having taken first place, the students will now represent the North West of England and will compete against the whole of the UK on Friday 10th March at Fenton Manor Complex; a centre of excellence where the GB Gymnastics Association train.

The students who are now the North West Regional champions are Year 13 students Adam & Laura and Year 10 students Emma, Sarah, Lauren & Ellie.
