We were delighted to welcome back Weatherhead alumna, Hannah Simpkins, to help celebrate our Key Stage 3 Awards Evening on Tuesday 2nd July. Over 125 students were recognised for their achievements and hard work in every subject. Students were also awarded prizes for attendance, Year Leader’s prize and endeavour across the curriculum. Guests were treated to a stunning performance by the Year 7 dancers and a beautiful rendition of Counting Stars by Junior Choir whilst Year 7 student, Anais, read her poem We Could be Heroes which won her a highly commended prize at the Chris Salmon poetry competition.

Hannah, who is Vice President of Operations at Liverpool Football Club, spoke to students about how she enjoyed her time at Weatherhead and her career path to LFC. She delighted the audience with stories about behind the scenes at the Champions League final in Madrid and spoke about the importance of reaching and achieving your goals and above all, being kind and respectful of one another.
