School Closure

Due to the recent announcement from the Prime Minister that all UK schools must close due to the spread of Coronavirus, we can confirm that Weatherhead High School will be closed from 3.20pm today, Friday 20th March.

A letter from the Headteacher has been sent to parents by email and a copy of this communication is available on our letters to parents page. A letter from the Headteacher, with guidance on work available for students to complete from home, is available below.

This is an extremely difficult situation which impacts us all, but we believe that the closure of schools is necessary to ensure the safety, health and wellbeing of everyone and prevent further spread of the virus.

Department for Education Coronavirus helpline
The Department for Education have launched a new helpline to answer questions about COVID-19 related to education.

Opening hours: 8am to 6pm (Monday to Friday)

No school should close in response to a suspected (or confirmed) COVID-19 case unless directed to do so by Public Health England.

The importance of hygiene
