Christmas 2020

This year we’ve had to adapt our end of terms celebrations but that hasn’t stopped us spreading cheer!

Christmas Hampers
Students in Years 7-10 created over four hundred personalised Christmas cards and baubles for the residents of Mariners’ Park and Victoria House Care homes.  As our students were unable to visit the residents in person to hand out gifts and sing carols, we created a CD of Christmas songs performed by our Weatherhead choirs with CD covers design by Kiera in Year 9 and Ava in Year 8.

Charles Thompson Mission

Staff generously donated to the Charles Thompson Mission who were delighted to receive a mountain of food and toys last week.  The Mission does such crucial and amazing work and our staff were pleased to have been a part of that this year.

“On the first day of Christmas…”

A huge well done to year 7 and 8 students who prepared a ‘Fitmas Advent Calendar Countdown’! Head to the PE department’s Twitter page for all the activities: twitter.com/WeatherheadPE

Weatherhead Meets the Cube
Our annual interform netball competition was replaced by ‘The Cube’ this year. Students nominated participants in their teaching groups to take part in the timed activities and the overall winners from each year group will be announced in January.

Throughout the final week we’ve delivered virtual reward assemblies, which included a staff Christmas video (“Merry Christmas Everyone…”), Christmas films and formal Christmas assemblies.  A huge thank you to the staff for putting together some fantastic performances for our students to enjoy.

Wishing you all a safe and peaceful Christmas break.
