Congratulations to the 26 talented student bakers who entered our Modern Foreign Languages Bake Off competition – your entries were outstanding!

This annual cake decorating competition is held to celebrate European Day of Languages. This year, the competition was held virtually and students submitted a photograph of their decorated cakes online.  Headteacher Miss Whelan and Deputy Headteacher Miss Sullivan chose the winners but said it was very tough to pick as they were all brilliant. 

In first place, Ava (7AJH) impressed judges with individually decorated cupcakes topped with flags made from different European currencies.

Emily’s (7TH) exquisitely iced Italian Flag secured second place.

In third place, Lily (7ARI) turned a four tiered sponge cake into a Flamenco dress.
