April’s Artist of the Month

4 May 2020 | School News

Congratulations to April’s ‘Artist of the Month’ competition winner Jasmine (8LRI), who created an incredibly detailed Anime inspired artwork using pen and ink.  Jasmine will receive a prize of art supplies and a certificate.

April’s competition was to use a toilet roll tube creatively.  Students were invited to draw on it, make a sculpture with it or do something else of their own choosing.

The runners up are Keira (7JMW) and Luci (9SBU).

Keira’s entry, inspired by Mexican art, was a toilet roll version of artist Frida Khalo and a Día de Muertos (Day of the Dead) design.

Luci used the toilet rolls to create a detailed silhouette design using a paper cutting technique to show a family looking up at the night sky.

Both runners up will receive chocolate and a certificate.

Well done to everyone who entered, we had some fantastic entries!
