Pink Day Fundraiser

18 October 2018 | 6th Form, School News

Weatherhead Sixth Form have raised an impressive £862.82 at their annual Pink Day charity fundraiser as part of breast cancer awareness month. The money raised will be donated to the Breast Care Unit at Clatterbridge Hospital.

Fundraising events included the Pink Day talent show, staff and student cake sales and pink themed fancy dress.

Sixth form students and staff dressed in pink to show their support and Year 12 and Year 13  tried to outcompete each other with pink common room decorations which included balloons, banners, posters and a selfie booth. Both common rooms were a sea of pink and whilst Year 12 brought an air of sophistication and class to Pink Day proceedings with their common room decorations, Year 13 were crowned winners by the judges due to the sheer amount of pink on display in the upper common room!

The Pink Day talent show, one of the most anticipated student events of the school calendar, did not disappoint. Students and staff performed to a packed and lively student audience.

We would like to thank the Weatherhead school community for supporting Pink Day and raising money for an important cause.
