A group of talented designers from Year 9 have been crowned winners of the 2017 Design Ventura Awards.

Their winning entry, a polypropylene plant pot that expands as the plant grows, will go on sale in the Design Museum shop this summer. Proceeds from the sale of the plant pot will be donated to charity.

The team of designers were one of ten shortlisted finalists to be invited to a celebration event on 7th February 2018. The students enjoyed a day of workshops alongside fellow finalists and industry experts – what a talented bunch!

Design Ventura challenges students in years 9, 10 and 11 to design a new product for the Design Museum shop and is an opportunity for students to develop design thinking, creative and business capabilities and employability skills.
